Light weight review
I had the opportunity to borrow this DVD from my (new found!) boyfriend. While reading what it was about I expected that it would give me some kind of answer to why people have different fetishes and when and how they got them. And, why they like what they like.
Unfortunately that’s not the case. Nick Broomfield didn’t seem to have a real goal from the beginning and he couldn’t stay objective while making it (he is both the interviewer and the sound man). Neither is there an conclusion at the end which made the whole movie sort of pointless and just pure bizarre.
I would have wanted to see more insight in which why these people want to do this and the psychology behind it.
If you only would like to see some examples of what kind of (extreme) fetishes there is out there, this is the movie for you. You will see things from sadism, masochism, public humiliation, toilet licking, to rubber wrestling, spanking and a bizzare rituals like in which Jewish clients pay to be treated like Holocaust victims.
My conclusion? I got one word: Bizarre.
