Getting fit at home

Tae BoI’m one of those that is constantly looking for a exercise type that I don’t get tired on and that isn’t too hard and boring. I have just tried out a new type of exercise called Tae Bo which means Total Awareness Excellence Body Obedience.

Tae Bo is an aerobic exercise routine that was developed by the tae kwon do practitioner Billy Blanks. It’s a mix of motions of martial arts, dance steps, aerobic exercises and some kick boxing. To me it looked easy at first glance but after my first exercise I noticed I was wrong. Even if I couldn’t do all the moves as good as the people in the video (you don’t have to either) I had a really fun time and I got pretty sweaty too!

I can truly recommend trying out Billy Blanks videos, he does not only show you how to strengthen your body, he also coaches you in to do what you can and continue doing so!

One of the best things was that I could do it at home without feeling that I would make a fool of myself in public by going to a real course!

Have you tried it?

I’ve never done Taebo, but I used to do body combat 3 times a week at the gym. It is pretty similar and I absolutely loved it. It’s a great way to get your bum in gear!

@Sandra: Yeah, body combat sounds similar, maybe that’s something to check out as well :)

Hmmm, that sounds interesting. I’ve been doing spinning once a week (well, really, itt’s been doing me) and am realizing that I need to get in better shape!
